Pamela Lee Says ‘Bye-Bye Baywatch’

Pamela Lee is making waves again, this time with the news that she is quitting Baywatch. After five years playing the role of lifeguard C.J. Parker on the internationally syndicated series, the actress has decided that it’s time to tackle other projects. She plans to pen an autobiography and work in film and interactive media.

“I have no expectations about becoming a big movie star,” says Lee, who starred in the 1996 action film Barb Wire . “I just want to continue working in all areas of the entertainment business and continue to be involved with high-quality projects.”

Lee’s decision to quit Baywatch comes at a time when her personal life is in turmoil. Just in case you haven’t been reading the tabloids, she recently filed for divorce from her husband, Motley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, only to announce a few weeks later that they were trying to reconcile. The prognosis? When Lee appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Dec. 9, she said that she didn’t know whether the marriage would work out. The couple has a baby son, Brandon.
