Astonished to receive a doll she asked Santa for decades ago, Myrtle frantically begins a search for Red. Meanwhile, Joey offers an elderly stranger a ride to the airport. During the trip, Red tells Joey he used to make toys at a factory up north, then assures the startled young man that Joe Sr.


will understand why he’s chosen a new path for his life. Though Laura reminds her friend she’s better off without a con man in her life, Myrtle bemoans the fact that she drove Red away with her silly skepticism. Noel bustles into the boarding house, demanding to know why Red has disappeared less than a week before their busiest night of the year. At the airport, Red encounters a weeping Kelsey, who explains that her scheduled visit with her father was cancelled at the last minute. Liza drops a hint to Brooke which gets Adam’s ex-wife thinking she may have been conned by an identical twin with a less than pure heart. Later, unaware of Liza’s secret agenda, Adam crows at the prospect of imminent victory. Unnerved by a visit from Brooke, Stuart struggles to keep his brother’s secret but swears to his guest that Adam’s love for her is deep and sincere no matter what tricks he might pull along the way. Concerned about Amanda’s crying need for a stable parent, Janet informs Trevor that she wants their daughter to know the identity of her biological mother.
